How to Secure Antenna Pigtails
- Apply silicone tape to the connector and surrounding coax
- Create a drip/service loop with the pigtail
- Secure both sides of the connector coax
- Secure the pigtail
- Secure the lead in coax cable
For Best Results
- Mount antenna as high as possible
- Keep coax leads as short as possible
- Don't use 75 Ohm coax (RG6, RG59)
- Don't use a splitter to connect 2 modem ports to the antenna
- Fully tighten coax connectors to antenna connectors
- Position away from other antennas, lighting fixtures, motors, Low-E or tinted/coated windows, large metal or concrete objects
- Stand 3+ feet away from antenna when testing
